I am a happy homeschooler.

I decided to home school my three children two years ago. I have three girls ages 13 and twins 7. It was quite the struggle the first year, as I tried hard to unschool my kids. My oldest being the most difficult in making the adjustment. We have since found our nitch and all have moved on smoothly. My children are ahead of the public system and my oldest is planning to graduate high school early. My children are all activly involved in music and sing in various places around are community and area. My husband is currently serving our county in Iraq and I work part time at a local center for teens. Because my husband and I are so pleased with the progress our children have made we have started an online business as well. We are hopeful that this will soon replace my regular income and I can be home all the time.

I started this blog so that other homeschool parents can post their successes and difficulties. Hopefully this blog will become a place to share ideas and to gain advice from one another. I look forward to sharing your thoughts and ideas about your homeschooling experiences.

Happy typing.

Thank you for starting the blog. This is my first year homeschooling teens. 3 Teens girl 16, girl 15 and boy 14. They were in the county schools butwith peers and ADHD , homeschooling was the next step. They are doing so much better now. They are still having friend withdraws...But we are dealing with that. So Thank You for a outlet for homeschooling moms(and dads) Shae Riley Ga.

Shae,
I completely understand the ADHD situation as my oldest also deals with the same difficulties. I myself have ADHD. But rest assured it does get better. After beginning homeschooling for about 3 months my daughter was able to be removed from all medication. She is ahead of schedule and is planning to graduate early. Good Luck!

Sweet blog Wanda. There are a number of other homeschooling blogs that would probably love to link to your blog. Let them know you are blogging about homeschooling.
